Finishes and colors

In QD Magistro Lab’s colorful faucets, color becomes a design matter: avant-garde finishes and sophisticated chromatics transform the faucets into micro-architectures of water capable of dialoguing with classic and contemporary styles, enhancing light, matter and multisensory tactility.

Palettes born from powder coating, multilayer electroplating, and PVD coat the colorful faucets in uniform, durable hues. The designer can create bold contrasts or refined tone-on-tone harmonies, achieving bathroom environments consistent with today’s international design trends.

Colorful faucets: hues that dress the space

Magistro Lab, QD’s research and development department dedicated to design and innovation, the company’s true creative breeding ground, each year chooses on the basis of studies and research on color trends, a range of shades to meet every need or desire for a refined and contemporary bathroom environment.

Colors are chosen in order to best interpret monochromatic or two-color solutions, alternatives to the wide choice of metal finishes in the catalog.

Materials

The authentic force of matter

In colored products, textural finishes take on a special role: opaque and tactile shades that tell the story of the material in its most authentic form, restoring a unique and natural sensory experience. Powder-coated finishes, designed to offer strength and durability, combined with an aesthetic with a strong personality.

Satin-finished

Soft and sophisticated reflections

Satin finishes give the colorful faucet a unique look, with surfaces featuring soft, shaded reflections. A perfect balance between the material presence of metal and the delicacy of soft-touch finishes. These finishes are made with powder coating to ensure durability, uniformity and quality over time.

Finishes

Surfaces designed for durability and shape enhancement

Each QD Magistro Lab surface is created from advanced processes that combine aesthetics and durability.

  • PVD vacuum treatments ensure thin thicknesses, stable chromes and excellent scratch and abrasion resistance .
  • Solvent-free, heat-cured powder coating produces uniform, sustainable coatings perfect for matte or soft-touch finishes with a strong textural impact.
  • Multilayer electroplating gives brilliance and depth to finishes, while the use of trivalent chromium (instead of hexavalent) reduces environmental impact without sacrificing quality and aesthetics.

Our coatings undergo salt spray, impact and thermal cycling tests, which attest to performance exceeding industry standards.

Daily maintenance, beauty that lasts

Preserving the shine of your colored products requires just a few steps. After use, simply wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove water; small cleaning and maintenance steps. Limescale stains? Apply the cleaner with a nonabrasive sponge, wait two minutes and rinse. On metallic finishes, it is useful to apply a protective micro-wax twice a year to create a water-repellent shield. By following these practices, color and shine remain unchanged over time, even in humid environments or near the sea.

Material box

The Material Box Magistro Lab was created to offer a uniquesensory and design experience. Not just a sample book, but a working tool that allows you to touch finishes and materials, perceiving their quality and identity.

Inside is a selection of 36 variants-metals, colors and marbles-capable of suggesting refined combinations and contemporary aesthetic scenarios in line with our philosophy.

A tale of matter and design

Each sample in the Material Box becomes part of a visual and tactile narrative: intense colors, refined textures and combinations designed to give strength to design choices. A tool that enriches the proposal, facilitates selection and enhances Magistro Lab products, ensuring stylistic coherence and a distinctive identity in any environment.
